Q: What do I do?
A: I write books and poetry for children, & I am a team member of the SCBWI Carolinas chapter, currently serving as Co-ARA. I also homeschool my kiddos, teach Sunday school, write picture books, poetry, & mysteries.
Q: Do I have any books published?
A: I do! Being Frank is my only picture book published so far (you can find it on Amazon, Books a Million, Barnes and Noble, and other independent bookstores ). But I have also been published in a greeting card, on floor mats (weird, I know!), and magazines for children.
Q: What kind of books do I like to read?
A: I love to read picture books! Little Tree, Mary Had a Little Glam, and Oothar the Blue are three of my current favorites! I also love to read chapter books, poetry, and cozy mysteries. One of my favorite series is still the Chronicles of Narnia. I've read all of the books several times. (C.S. Lewis is one of my fave authors.)
Q: What else do I like to do?
A: I like to learn new things and rediscover old ones. I am slowly becoming a little obsessed with podcasts of all kinds. I am also learning to speak and read Irish and Scottish. Those are hard languages to learn, y'all. If any of you are fluent in either, I'd love to pick your brain!
